With great sadness we mourn the loss of  'Hororary Crewmember'
LCDR Robert W. "Bill" Cherry U.S.N. Retired on Nov 23, 2024.

Bill did not serve onboard the USS Estes, but his very close brother, Rich Cherry, did.

When the suggestion of this website was made at the 2004 Estes Reunion,
Bill stepped right up to help make it happen.
He was always there in the background keeping the mechanics of the site running.
Thank you Bill.
We will miss you.
